You are required to attend Peadiatrics I and CCPB if you wish treat children/babies under the age of 4 years in Ireland.

Course Description

CranioSacral Therapy for Peadiatrics

CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics will show you how to work with the special issues that surround the application of CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release as they relate to children (4 years and up). As with all CST and SER classes, this workshop will consist largely of lecture, demonstration and practice. However, this class will also include several experiential exercises, including one SER lab, in order to help you better understand and "meet" children where they are and addresses the special application of CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release and Energy Cyst Release on children (4 years and up).

3. The child as self-directed inc. two practical exercises

4. Psychological, emotional human development comparison chart

5. Motor development stages

6. Adaptations of infant/child treatment – including modifying the environment and differences in skull anatomy

7. Evaluation for children

8. Working with family – child’s eco-system

9, SER with infants and children: validating individual experiences

10. Completion of biological process inc. birth mechanics

11. The neurology behind behaviour – gaining trust and co-operation – Triune Brain and Reflexes

12. Sensory Integration Dysfunction inc. experiential exercises

13. Adaptations to environment for SID children

14. Practical sessions and feedback sessions afterwards with TAs

15. Common problems/disorders from a CST perspective

16. Genetic anomalies and chromosomal defects

17. Learning difficulties

18. Making a collaborative team

Prerequisite: SomatoEmotion Release Module I fully completed.

A Brain is Born . by Dr John E. Upledger, D.O., O.M.M.
