Carol’s training includes Diplomat Certification, CST (CranioSacral Therapy). She is an Upledger Institute National Examiner for CST Techniques Certification. She is often asked to write articles for peer reviewed magazines, journals and text books. She was Keynote speaker at the “Beyond The Dura International Research Conference”, for doctors and other health professionals, and the “Positive Parenting 2011 Growing Healthy Children Conference”, presented by Synchrony of Visalia, Inc.
As a licensed Life Mastery Consultant and Coach for LifeSoulutions® with Mary Manin Morrissey, Certified Matrix Energetics ® (Dr. Richard Bartlett) and Life Success® Coach (Bob Proctor), she teaches Dream Builder, MasterMind and other classes and workshops. The simple purpose of all of Carol’s work is to offer adults and children practical ways to realize their potential, gain greater self-worth and live their lives with joy and purpose. “Right now”, Carol enthusiastically postulates, “you are standing on the brink of your possibility
It’s time to seek out your destiny. It’s time to really envision your goals and step into your dreams with a clear head and a confident stride — no matter how big your vision may be!”
Carol is the co-founder of H.E.AL., Inc. (Holistic Empowerment Alliance), a non-profit organization which includes a Foundation dedicated to enabling children and veterans to get the therapy they need regardless of financial constraints. The Foundation offers a low-cost Kids Clinic once a month at Meridian.
Carol has been in practice as a holistic health educator and therapist for over twenty-five years. She left her thriving Bay Area practice and came to Visalia when she and her family relocated for her husband’s business. Having grown up in Wyoming, Carol felt right at home in the agriculturally-rich Central San Joaquin Valley. Before opening Meridian, she worked with a local OB/GYN as a Doula, Doula instructor and Childbirth educator, working one-on-one with Penny Simkin to set up Doula training in Tulare County. Carol has utilized CST to ease the birth of many babies as a labor coach at Visalia Community Hospital and NAS Lemoore Hospital. Carol has, in fact, taught these techniques at the American College of Nurse Midwives Annual Conference.
One of the most powerful applications of CST lies in the area of releasing functional and debilitating emotional wounds. With that in mind, Carol turned to the V.A., where Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects so many veterans. While working with medical staff at NAS Lemoore Hospital, she had the privilege of teaching hospital personnel and facilitating PTSD programs for soldiers and their families, including two Intensive classes for “Warrior Stress” at NAS Lemoore. As a result of that experience, she created a low-cost CST Clinic for Vets. While integrating her CranioSacral work, she was able to introduce and collect data in hospitals for CST applications for Obstetrics, which has informed OB curriculum for the Upledger Institute. When Carol opened Meridian in 2003, she and the handful of talented and intrepid practitioners that she had invited along were inspired by the philosophy of service to humanity through the work of CranioSacral Therapy and other transformative tools for self health care. This idea continues to drive all aspects of Carol’s work.
